'Aim Low' How Coethica helped one of its customers to introduce sustainability into its thinking

Case study Morban (www.morban.co.uk). -
Coethica helps many businesses think about sustainability.Morban design and install cutting edge ‘intelligent living systems’ taking the initial home automation concept and pushing the technology to its boundaries. Morban's target market at that time was the more affluent client wanting LCD’s in every room and big remote controls etc. We worked together to look at expanding their sales opportunities by using their current technology and IP to help reduce carbon emissions (LED lighting, all off on one switch, control via mobile phone, etc) and also add a strong sustainable homes element integrated into to their offering such as low emission system settings, solar pv, biomass boilers and hot water energy stores.

Coethica helped them understand the sustainability agenda and position their offering in new markets such as social landlords, other public sector and assisted living requirements. Their branding now also includes an ‘Aim Low’ initiative to help raise awareness of low carbon homes and technology applications. Their first Aim Low clients have included a eco-friendly sensory swimming pool for disabled users in Cumbria and low carbon home in Lancaster.
