Big interest in UK Nuclear Energy Option

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) is selling land adjacent to exisiting power stations.

Wylfa in Anglesey.
Bradwell in Essex.
Oldbury in Gloucestershire.

All sites are up for auction and there are many energy companies bidding to be involved in the next generation of Nuclear Power. A consortium of Scottish and Southern Energy , Iberdola and Suez is bidding on all 3 sites.
EDF has its eyes on Bradwell. The German partnership of RWE and E.ON is bidding for both Wylfa and Oldbury.

Once vilified, nuclear power is now widely touted as te answer to growing electricity requirements.

EDF spent £12.5bn buying Britsh Energy in order to get a foot in the door. It is committed to building 4 new nucear reactors by 2025.
